At tonight's WWE Raw-exclusive Elimination Chamber event, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey officially signed her contract to become a member of the Raw roster in a segment that also involved Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon, and WWE COO Triple H.
During the segment, Rousey stated that she wanted to earn the respect of the WWE Universe and to not be treated any differently than anyone else on the roster, even though Triple H tried to offer her some special perks prior to signing her contract. After this, Angle stated that the only reason Stephanie and Triple H wanted to sign Rousey was so that they could "own the b*tch" following what happened between the three at WrestleMania 31, where Rousey flipped Triple H onto the mat and "almost broke" Stephanie's arm.
Angle then stated that Stephanie told him that Rousey was a "has-been" and that she also "could take her." Rousey got into Stephanie's face, but the two were separated by Triple H, who was then put through a table by Rousey. Stephanie then slapped Rousey across the face, then quickly left the ring before Rousey signed her contract.
It was also stated by Triple H during the segment that Rousey would not only receive an invite to WrestleMania 34, but she would also be competing at the event. It has been rumored for some time now that Rousey may end up competing in a tag team match against Triple H and Stephanie, with Rousey's partner being either Angle or The Rock. Tonight's segment appears to have sown the seeds for that potential match.
