Bobby Lashley is reportedly set to make his WWE return imminently, according to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Lasley was a major part of WWE from 2005-2008 before leaving due to backstage issues with WWE Producer Michael Hayes.
Meltzer recently reported that Lashley a former multi-time TNA / Impact World Heavyweight Champion was in negotiating with NJPW. Meltzer is almost certain that Lashley's talks with NJPW have ended and he is WWE bound. It's unknown at this stage if Lashley will appear during tonight's Royal Rumble or answer Bobby Roode's open challenge but he could certainly do so as he is a free agent.
Meltzer has speculated he might start a program with Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 34 or later this year. Lesnar's WWE contract is expected to expire shortly after WrestleMania, so it will be interesting to see if he sticks around.
