- Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey revealed in an Instagram post she will be in Bogota, Colombia to work on the film, Mile 22. It had been heavily rumored that she will make her WWE debut during the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match this weekend. She also recently noted that while she had a dinner with WWE’s Triple H, there’s still no deal in place between her and WWE, although other sources are reporting this to be a coy to throw people off her impending debut with the company.
- UFC 223 is scheduled to air on Pay-Per-View just 24-hours before WrestleMania 34 in Brooklyn. The card will feature two world title fights - Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rose Namajunas vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The event will go head-to-head with NXT Takeover: New Orleans. UFC is likely, not concerned about putting this event up against WWE on their biggest weekend of the year because they know most people watch WWE PPV's via WWE Network which shouldn't impact their traditional PPV buys.
- A fan noted on Twitter that a recent WWE promo photo for the upcoming Royal Rumble didn't feature Dana Brooke. Brooke responded to the tweet saying, "WWE loves to forget me" while also tagging the company. Brooke will be competing in the first-ever woman's Royal Rumble match on Sunday.
