Kenny Omega Signs A New One Year Deal With New Japan Pro Wrestling

As first reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Omega has signed a new deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling.  The deal was signed on Tuesday and it goes through January 31, 2019. That should put to rest any rumors about a potential appearance at the Royal Rumble this year and in 2019.

Another sign that NJPW knew that Omega was staying was that he was put over in his match with Chris Jericho. If they felt he was leaving then he would have probably lost since Jericho is going to stick around for at least one more match with Tetsuya Naito. Omega will be part of the “ALL IN” 9/1 show that is being self-financed by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks.
