- John Cena is expected to resume a full WWE schedule once the Royal Rumble is over. When he returns he will still be a "free-agent" allowing him to wrestle for both Raw and SmackDown Live. Cena recently announced himself as an entrant into the 30-man Rumble match later this month and he was announced for a "Special Guest Appearance" at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view, which is a SmackDown event and the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania 34. He will also be appearing at the RAW 25th Anniversary episode on January 22nd.
- Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed of January 5th, the NJPW World subscriber count was up to 95,000 and that they gained 25,000 subscribers in 2 days for Wrestle Kingdom 12. He noted that the increase in subscriber increases are considered to be a "real big success" for the company.
- Triple H posted the following video stills of his friend and WWE producer "Road Dogg" Brian James on Twitter. The match aired in 1993 on WCW Worldwide. Triple H was then known as Terra Ryzing against Brian Armstrong, who would later be known as the Road Dogg.
