WWE's Female Superstars Not Told About Royal Rumble Plans Beforehand

According to a report from ProWrestlingSheet.com, WWE officials tried to go out of their way to keep their plans for the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match a secret, despite there being rumors about it for a few months now.

When WWE Monday Night Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon made the announcement at the end of Raw, the female competitors in the ring were apparently not told beforehand what she was going to say, so their surprised reactions were genuine.

Only a few people backstage knew that the announcement was going to be made, and even most of the people in the production crew were kept in the dark about it.
