Dean Ambrose’s is legitimately injured and the injury angle on Monday's Raw was done to cover an elbow issue Ambrose is dealing with, according to PWInsider.
Ambrose will reportedly head to Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday for further medical investigation. It is unknown at this stage how bad the injury actually is or how long Ambrose will be out of action.
The official WWE website released the following storyline injury report:
"Dean Ambrose sustained an injury to his right qarm during Raw’s Six-Man Tag Team Match, and the damage was exacerbated when his opponents, Samoa Joe and Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus, assaulted The Lunatic Fringe in the trainer’s room. The attack culminated when Joe slammed a road case onto Ambrose’s arm, leaving him writhing in pain."
