Nicolai Salchow is a 33-year-old German MMA fighter with a 6-1 record and plenty of skills. WWE recently signed him to a contract. The plan is for him to start off at the Performance Center in January. He’s already made the move to Orlando, Florida, and now only time will tell how far he’ll be able to go.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted his signing is not typical of the kind of person WWE would look for in the past. Vince McMahon used to think that MMA fighters couldn’t handle WWE’s rigorous travel schedule and Salchow’s age, language barrier, and size could have presented a problem in the past. He weighs 205 pounds, and might find himself within 205 Live or any other WWE storyline.
Like for real. Nicoli Salchow is reporting to WWE in January & moving to Orlando this weekend. He isn't hiding it. pic.twitter.com/H6fkFmAW0h
