During her recent appearance on Lilian Garcia's "Chasing Glory" podcast, WWE Superstar Paige revealed that her October 2016 WWE Wellness Policy violation, which was her second violation with the company, was caused by "illegal drugs."
Following the violation, Paige took to her official Twitter account and stated that she had obtained a doctor's note giving her permission to take the pills in question. She posted the following:
"Same sh** different day. Kids..Please don’t get prescriptions or doctor’s notes. Not acceptable."
Paige's family also issued statements supporting her and stated that her suspension from WWE was due to taking painkillers that she had been prescribed due to her neck injury. Additionally, the statements also contained accusations that Paige was not being properly treated for her medical issues.
During Paige's appearance on Lilian's podcast, Lilian read the tweet that Paige posted regarding the doctor's note and the painkillers. Paige then claimed that she lied because she "didn't know what to do" and that she also didn't expect WWE to release the statement that they issued to The New York Post, which read as follows:
"Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug. In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury."
At the time of her suspension, Paige's then-boyfriend, current Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron, stated that the situation involving her suspension was "complete B.S." In regards to El Patron, Paige also acknowledged on Lilian's podcast that she is no longer in a relationship with him, giving her reason as being because their careers were taking them in different directions and placing them in different cities.
