We reported earlier that WWE sent Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn home early from the current WWE UK tour for unprofessional behavior. It is believed the reason for their dismissal from the tour is due to the real-life best friends "going into business for themselves" and ignoring a creative directive, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.
In addition, Sports Illustrated Justin Barrasso noted they were sent home for "conduct deemed detrimental" to the company. That bad conducted reportedly occurred during their on-air segments on last night’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live from Manchester, England.
Owens and Zayn were supposed to ‘feed’ for New Day following the Sami Zayn vs. Kofi Kingston match, but ended up leaving the ring and ignored that direction from creative. For those unfamiliar, PWTorch wrestling glossary defines 'feed' as:
"The heel’s role during a babyface comeback where he runs at the babyface only to be repeatedly fended off, with the hope that the series of bumps by the heel will generate positive fan heat for the babyface."
Pro Wrestling Sheet also notes that both Owens and Zayn have become difficult to work with over the last few weeks and both were close with Jimmy Jacobs and Neville who are gone from the company. The decision to send Owens and Zayn home was a final decision of Vince McMahon.
