According to a report from PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling is interested in bringing Don "Cyrus" Callis back to the company.
Longtime fans may remember him as "The Jackyl" in WWE in the late 1990's. He was later known as "Cyrus the Virus" during the last two years of ECW, and was also an on-screen authority figure for Impact Wrestling (TNA) during their very early years in the old Nashville Asylum.
He's been working as an English commentator for New Japan Pro Wrestling throughout 2017 but there are rumblings that his contract might be set to expire soon and that Impact Wrestling would like to bring him back to the company.
According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling officials met with both NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH officials a few weeks ago and Impact official Scott D'Amore was reportedly telling some of the NJPW wrestlers that Impact was trying to get Don Callis to come back to work for them.
Don Callis has reportedly denied that he's leaving New Japan.
