WWE SmackDown Live Results (10/31/2017)

SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon opens up the show. The SmackDown fans are happy to see him. Shane starts talking about Survivor Series. Shane says that Raw has always viewed SmackDown as being the inferior show. Shane starts talking about changing the perception of SmackDown since the 2016 Superstar Draft. Shane talks about Daniel Bryan being attacked by Kane on Raw. Shane announces that he will be the captain of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. Out comes Bobby Roode and it's now time for the first match of the night.

Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler: 2-out-of-3 Falls Match

Back-and-forth action to start out. Neither one can really get a distinct advantage in the opening moments of the match. Roode hits a Blockbuster and goes for the cover but only gets a 2. Big chop to the chest of Ziggler. DZ gets tossed outside. Roode goes out after him and they fight on the outside. They get back in the ring and DZ hits a big Superkick out of nowhere to secure the first fall. They go to commercial break.

The second fall happened during the commercial break. Roode catapulted DZ into the ring post and then rolled him up for the win. Only one fall left in the match. Roode goes for the DDT, Ziggler gets out of it, they try to roll each other up and then DZ hits a big DDT on Roode but Roode kicks out. DZ went for the Zig Zag but got hit with a Spinebuster. DZ comes back with the Zig Zag though but only got a 2-count. DZ went for the Superkick but Roode moves out of the way and they both tried to roll each other up again until Roode hit the Glorious DDT out of nowhere to secure the third and final fall.

United States Champion "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin vs. Sin Cara

They lock up and Corbin quickly tries to unmask Sin Cara. Sin Cara fights back a little but then Corbin kicks him right in the face. They brawl outside the ring but a little bit and then they re-enter the ring. Corbin again goes for the mask. They end up outside again and Sin Cara drives Corbin into the steel steps. Cara tackles Corbin onto the announce table. The referee throws the match out.

"The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles vs. Samir Singh

Samir slaps Styles and Styles takes him down and starts pummeling him. Styles Clash for the 3-count. A squash match victory for A.J. Styles. After the match, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh start attacking Styles. The assault ends with a Khallas from Mahal to Styles and Mahal stands tall over Styles. Mahal's music starts playing but then Mahal gives Styles another Khallas.

Big E w/ Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods vs. Rusev w/ Aiden English

Big E is dressed as Akeem the African Dream, Kofi Kingston is dressed as Brother Love, Xavier Woods is dressed as Jimmy Hart. Rusev starts the match with strikes on Big E. Big E then applies the Abdominal Stretch. Rusev pulls Big E's shoulder onto the rope and then throws him shoulder-first into the post as they go to commercial break. They return from break and Rusev has an armbar applied. Belly-to-Belly Suplexes by Big E followed by a Big Splash. Big E goes for the Big Ending, Rusev hits a Roundhouse Kick, Big E hits a Uranage. English starts fighting with Woods and Kofi and ends up taking a Big Ending but then Rusev Superkicks Big E in the back of the head for the victory.

"The Prizefighter" Kevin Owens vs. "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura goes on the offensive at the opening bell and KO leaves the ring. Nakamura gets KO down on the mat and delivers a knee. KO hits a Big Boot bit Nakamura answers with a kick of his own and KO leaves the ring again. They brawl outside the ring and Nakamura Irish Whips KO into the barricade just as they go to commercial break. Back from break now, Nakamura is in control of KO but then KO hits a Superkick but only gets a 2-count. Rear Chinlock now by KO. DDT by Owens but Nakamura kicks out. Nakamura with kicks to the chest. Nakamura hits the big knee to the stomach but Owens kicks out. Out comes Sami Zayn. Owens tried to catch Nakamura off guard but Nakamura caught him with a big Roundhouse Kick to the head. Owens hits the twisting Fisherman's Buster off the top rope but Nakamura kicks out. KO goes for the Powerbomb but Nakamura catches him with a knee to the face. Nakamura was going for the Kinshasa but Zayn pulled KO out of the ring. KO hits a Frog Splash but Nakamura kicks out. KO tells Sami to tear the announce table apart. Out comes Randy Orton. Orton slams Sami onto the table and then Nakamura hits Owens with the Kinshasa for the victory and for the spot on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.
