Why Tom Phillips Was Absent From This Week's SmackDown Live

As was seen on this week's episode of WWE SmackDown Live, Michael Cole was covering for Tom Phillips, who was "out on assignment."

It's being reported that Phillips got married to a lady named Renee over the weekend and was granted some time off by WWE to enjoy his honeymoon.

Phillips is scheduled to return to SmackDown next week.
