Yesterday, it was reported that Jimmy Jacobs was no longer with the WWE. Jacobs had been a writer for the company since March 2015 and repeatedly praised for his work by Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens
Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Jacobs had been fired last week but the news didn't break until yesterday. The reason for the firing was due to Jacobs posting a photo to instagram where he posed with the Young Bucks, Adam Page and Marty Scurll. The photo was taken the day prior to the Bullet Club's "Invasion" and was posted during the afternoon before anyone had known that WWE would have reacted the way they did towards the Bullet Club
Once news broke of the firing, Jacobs had a t-shirt made with a design of a newspaper headline and the words "Unprofessional" showing the photo in question which led to his firing. He did not realize the company's reaction to the DX Invasion spoof would be what it was because nobody predicted it ahead of time.
