Backstage News on Why WWE is Reuniting The Shield

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of the main reasons why WWE is reuniting The Shield is due to the fact that John Cena and current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will both be absent from the upcoming TLC pay-per-view, so WWE wanted to have something else that would be big enough to build the show around.

No word yet on exactly how long they will be reunited as a trio.
