Major WWE Contracts Expiring In The Next 18 Months

A number of top WWE talent contracts expire over the next 18 months with much speculations surrounding if they will stay with WWE or move on to other projects. Below we speculate what may happen:

  • Brock Lesnar's contract expires after WrestleMania 34, but in past years WWE has been able to successfully negotiate a new deal which has kept Lesnar on screen in high-profile main event matches unless there is a significant breakdown between Lesnar and WWE we can probably be sure to see Lesnar sign a new contract in 2018.

  • Big Show's contract is also due to end in February of 2018. He's been with WWE since 1999 and is currently out for surgery. Show has expressed a desire to retire from the ring over the next year and we can certainly see that happening, maybe he has one last high-profile feud left in him.

  • Daniel Bryan's contract ends in September of 2018 and he will probably be the most speculated name on the list with Bryan recently expressing a desire to return to the ring. For those unaware Daniel Bryan was forced to retire aged just 34 after suffering multiple concussions through his career. WWE doctors are unlikely to clear him to compete in WWE ring leading to a strong possibility that Bryan will leave WWE to return to the the indies.

  • Paige's WWE contract ends in 2019, and while she has more than a year left on her current contract many wonder if she will be able to stay in WWE's good books following a series of personal issues which have not impressed WWE officials. Paige is reportedly training to return to the ring following recent neck surgery and expected to return before the end of 2017.

  • Mauro Ranallo’s contract ends in 2019, he recently came back to WWE as an NXT commentator following allegations of backstage bullying by JBL who he sat alongside with on SmackDown Live commentary. Now that JBL has left WWE one has to wonder if Ranallo will return to mainstream WWE programming. It's highly likely he will remain with WWE for a while.

Who do you think will depart WWE in the next 18-months?
