According to James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the WWE may be planning to reunite The Shield at the TLC pay-per-view. Roman Reigns defeated John Cena in an epic showdown at No Mercy, which ultimately cemented his rise to the top of the company.
What's next for Reigns?, one has to think WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, but don't expect Lesnar and Reigns to face off...just yet - that's the long-term goal for WrestleMania 34 next year.
To refresh your memory, The Sheild went their separate ways in June 2014 after Rollins turned on Reigns and Ambrose to join forces with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s ‘Authority’.
The reason for them reuniting, explains James McKenna, is to drive ticket sale at the Target Centre on October 22. WWE is focused on giving away big WrestleMania style matches and moments on some of their lesser watched PPV's.
wowwww, hearing that to kickstart some ticket sales - they’re planning to give TLC in a month a MAJOR card upgrade. its finally happeninggg. pic.twitter.com/FLE8CWqRM0
