The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the statuses of some of the competitors who took part in the recent Mae Young Classic have been revealed:
--The following have been signed to contracts with WWE: Kairi Sane, Vanessa Borne, Zeda, Sarah Logan, Xia Li, Rhea Ripley, Abbey Laith, Kavita Devi, Dakota Kai, Bianca Belair, Sage Beckett, Lacey Evans, Taynara Conti, and Reina Gonzalez.
--Shayna Baszler has not been confirmed to have been signed by WWE; however, she is currently not being advertised to appear at any upcoming independent events.
--It is believed that WWE officials are interested in Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, and Mercedes Martinez; however, the three have not been signed to contracts with the company.
--As of the initial report, Toni Storm remains a free agent; however, it is expected that she will receive an offer from WWE. The main reason for this is said to be because of her young age.
--Tessa Blanchard has not yet signed a deal with WWE, despite how big her name is on the independent scene.
UPDATE (9:32 PM 9/18/17): A recent Twitter post from WWE COO Triple H has confirmed that Shayna Baszler has, in fact, signed with WWE:
