WWE Monday Night Raw Live Coverage & Results (09/18/2017)

Before the usual intro, they show a special photo in memory of WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

The show opens with the arrival of General Manager Kurt Angle. He hypes up No Mercy for a little bit until he gets interrupted by The Miz, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. The commentators mention that Maryse is at home due to her pregnancy. Miz tells Kurt that he doesn't appreciate being left off of No Mercy. Kurt announces that there will be a Fatal 4-Way Match tonight to determine who will challenge The Miz at No Mercy: Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Elias Samson, and Jason Jordan. Miz cuts a promo on Kurt for not being there for Jason Jordan and then Jason comes out to confront Miz. Jason then suggests to Kurt that Bo and Axel should be added to the match so Miz can't make excuses. Angle officially makes it a Six-Pack Challenge. JJ attacks The Miztourage and they leave the ring.

Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax in a non-title match

Alexa is going out of her way to try to avoid Nia. Alexa eventually tries to waistlock Nia but she gets tossed out of the ring. Alexa tries to slap Nia, Nia catches her arm and lifts her into the air. Alexa manages to escape and tries to leave but gets cuts off by Sasha Banks. Nia then runs Alexa over outside the ring before they go to commercial.

Back from break, Nia is in control of Alexa. Alexa is starting to fight back though. Alexa tries to fly but gets caught by Nia. Samoan Drop by Nia and Nia Jax defeats the Women's Champion. After the match, Sasha tries to attack Nia but gets dropped. Nia goes to continue the attack and out comes the returning Bayley. All three of them charge at Nia Jax and knock her down and out of the ring. Sasha and Bayley end up attacking Alexa Bliss.

Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Sheamus and Cesaro cut a promo before the match and out come the Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Ambrose and Rollins confront Sheamus and Cesaro in the ring but then out come Anderson and Gallows. All three teams start to brawl in the ring. Rollins and Ambrose stand tall in the ring as they take a commercial break.

Back from break, Sheamus and Rollins are in the ring. A Triple Threat Tag Team Match was made during the break. Rollins Dropkicks Sheamus. In comes Dean. Gallows blind tags Dean and now it's Gallows and Sheamus. They brawl for a little bit and in comes Cesaro. Sheamus tags back in. Rollins comes in out of nowhere and hits a Flying Clothesline on Sheamus. In comes Dean. Missile Dropkick from Dean but Sheamus kicks out. Ambrose and Rollins double team Sheamus. Sheamus catches Dean with an elbow to the face. Dean tries to attack Cesaro outside the ring but Cesaro gives him the Cesaro Swing right into the barricade and throws him back into the ring. Modified Cobra Clutch now by Cesaro and then Anderson gets the tag and goes to work on Ambrose. Spinebuster by Anderson. In comes Gallows. Vertical Suplex by Gallows. Rollins and Cesaro get the tags. Sling Blade and a Blockbuster by Rollins. Buckle Bomb on Cesaro and Sheamus has to break up the pin. Anderson and Gallows hit the Magic Killer on Rollins but Ambrose breaks up the pin. Sheamus and Cesaro then throw him into the barricade as they take a commercial break.

Back from break, Sheamus and Cesaro are in control of Rollins. Sheamus and Cesaro hit a Dudley Death Drop on Rollins. DDT on Cesaro by Rollins. In comes Ambrose and Anderson. Dean is cleaning house on Anderson and Gallows. Dean hits a Superplex on Anderson. Flying Elbow to Anderson and Sheamus breaks up the pin. Rollins and Ambrose do double Suicide Dives out of both sides of the ring. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Anderson but Sheamus had made the blind tag on Ambrose and threw Ambrose out of the ring and then covered Anderson to secure the win for himself and Cesaro.

Backstage, Goldust, without his face paint, is asking Kurt Angle for a rematch against Bray Wyatt. He says he's asking not as Goldust but as Dustin Rhodes. Kurt makes the match.

In the ring now is Curt Hawkins. He says his 114-match losing streak is about to come to an end. Out comes Apollo Crews with Curt Hawkins.

Curt Hawkins vs. Apollo Crews w/ Titus O'Neil

Lock up, shoulder tackle by Crews. Enzuigiri by Hawkins. Knee to the spine and then a Rear Chinlock by Hawkins. Spinebuster by Hawkins but only a 2-count. Kick to the face of Hawkins by Crews. Enzuigiri and the Spinning Sit-out Powerbomb by Crews for the win. Hawkins now has a 115-match losing streak.

Here comes Roman Reigns. He starts cutting a promo on John Cena and says that "sometimes Cena says stupid shit" (they bleeped that out of course). Reigns even mentions former WWE Superstar Alex Riley, who has real-life heat with John Cena. Reigns then shows a clip on the TitanTron from February of 2012 where Cena called out Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for being a part-timer. Reigns asks the fans if Cena should come out but then informs everybody that Cena is not in the building. Reigns leaves the ring after looking into the camera and telling Cena that he'll see him on Sunday night at No Mercy.

Bray Wyatt vs. Dustin "Goldust" Rhodes

Rhodes attacks Wyatt at the opening bell. Wyatt retreats but then hits Rhodes with a shot to the gut and gains control. Rhodes fights back though and launches Wyatt into the steel steps. He Bulldogs Wyatt onto the floor. Wyatt headbutts him in the chest and throws him back into the ring. Rhodes hits Shattered Dreams on Wyatt (to the thigh, not the groin) but ends up getting caught with a Sister Abigail. Bray Wyatt defeats Dustin Rhodes. After the match, Finn Balor appears on the TitanTron and cuts a promo on Wyatt.

They show a special tribute video in memory of the legendary Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

Enzo Amore comes out and starts cutting a promo on Neville but gets interrupted by BRAUN STROWMAN. Strowman absolutely bulldozes Enzo and then throws him into the ring. Chokeslam and a Running Powerslam. The Cruiserweight Champion Neville then comes out and hits the Red Arrow on Enzo.

Cruiserweight Champion Adrian Neville vs. Gran Metalik in a non-title match

Neville quickly takes control of Metalik. Hurricanrana by Metalik and then a Missile Dropkick. Hard kick to the chest of Metalik. Neville tried to tear the mask off of Metalik but that fired Metalik up. Metalik is in complete control of the match now. Metalik went for a Moonsault but Neville got the feet up. Neville then locks in the Rings of Saturn and wins by submission.

Six-Pack Challenge Match to Determine Who Will Challenge The Miz for Intercontinental Championship at No Mercy: Elias Samson vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Jason Jordan vs. Curtis Axel vs. Bo Dallas

Elias Samson is in the middle of the ring and has prepared a song for the people of San Jose. He gets interrupted by The Hardy Boyz and now everybody is making their entrances out to the ring.

The bell rings and the action is all over the place. Jeff rolls up Matt but Matt kicks out. They then take a commercial break.

Back from break, Matt covers Bo but Bo kicks out. Elias tries to Superplex JJ but gets knocked clear out of the ring to the outside. JJ gets Superplexed/Powerbombed by all the other competitors and everybody goes down for a moment. Side Effect from Matt to his brother Jeff. Jordan is cleaning house now. Miz throws Jordan into the barricade. Matt hits the Twist of Fate on Bo but Elias breaks it up. Drift Away on Matt but Jeff breaks it up. Jeff is getting fired up now. Swanton Bomb on Axel but Miz breaks up the pin. Jordan hits the Suplex/Neckbreaker on Axel and wins the match. Jason Jordan will challenge The Miz at No Mercy. After the match, Miz tries to punch JJ but JJ ducks and starts Suplexing Miz. JJ then gets attacked by The Miztourage. Skull-Crushing Finale by The Miz.
