WWE Is Bringing Back WCW PPV Starrcade After 17 Years

Starrcade which was last hosted 17 years as a WCW event in 2000 will be returning to its roots as a WWE SmackDown Live event held on November 25 at the Greensboro Coliseum. It's expected to air on the WWE Network as a live special.

We reported yesterday that WWE has plans to revive some of the more popular WCW events names and today that became a reality for the event which once considered the WrestleMania of WCW.

The returning event will take place just under a week after the Survivor Series pay-per-view, around the time of Thanksgiving celebrations in the United States. Shinsuke NakamuraĀ is set to battleĀ Jinder MahalĀ in a steel cage for the main event and CharlotteĀ Flair will take onĀ NatalyaĀ for the Womensā€™ Championship. You can see the rest of the lineup in the tweet below:

Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, September. 29.
