Goldust Storyline Nixed By WWE

In a recent installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer indicated that an angle which began a few weeks ago with Goldust scouting a new protege may have been nixed.

Goldust was set to appear at last month's Summerslam to make an announcement of the new protege he would be aligning himself with. This angle never took place and WWE has made no mention of it in several weeks. It is very likely the storyline will be dropped altogether
