Smackdown Live Coverage And Results (9/5)

WWE Signature

Welcome to WWE Smackdown Live and this week Smackdown is comin

Backstage: Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura cut promos on their match tonight to determine who will go onto face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship at Hell In A Cell

In-Ring: Carmella and James Ellsworth are in the ring but are interrupted by Kevin Owens who informs Carmella that her match with Natalya now has a special referee and that referee is him...Shane McMahon makes his way out to the ring

Shane tells Kevin he came out to the ring to shut this down and nip it in the bud. Kevin Owens will not make himself special referee. He's been patient with Owens at every turn but Owens has been defiant every time. Shane says Owens needs to stop blaming him for Owens' losses. The first was at Summerslam, then 2 weeks ago he had a rematch where Owens got to pick his own referee and yet he blamed Shane again and Shane doesn't know what else to do

Owens says Shane pulled Corbin out of the ring that's why he left. Shane has never wanted him to be on Smackdown. They both agree on that and on Raw it was Triple H who handed him the Universal Championship. On Smackdown, every opportunity has to be earned.

Shane then says not to look at him when he loses again. Owens then takes a shot at Vince McMahon and one at Shane's kids. Shane warns Owens not to bring his kids into this and Owens continues to mock Shane and says his entire family would have been better off had Shane not survived the helicopter crash. Shane's dad, Shane's wife and especially Shane's kids. A brawl then spills out from the ring to the commentator's table but is broken up by Daniel Bryan and several officials

Shane can't assault employees and WWE Superstars. They can't run Smackdown like that.
