Eddie Edwards Captures NOAH Heavyweight Championship in Japan

Global Force Wrestling star and former GFW (TNA) World Heavyweight Champion "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards captured World Championship gold today in Tokyo, Japan's legendary Korakuen Hall, as the 33-year-old Edwards defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima for the Pro Wrestling NOAH promotion's Global Honored Crown Heavyweight Championship.

Edwards, who is also recognized as a GFW Triple Crown Champion and Ring of Honor Triple Crown Champion, becomes the first American to hold the NOAH GHC Heavyweight Championship.
