As previously reported, Big Cass appeared to suffer a knee injury on Monday night's edition of WWE Raw during a Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore. The injury occurred after Cass went over the top rope that Enzo had pulled down as Cass was about to hit Enzo with a big boot, which caused Cass to fall to the floor and land awkwardly on his knee. Cass then attempted to hit Enzo with an elbow drop in the ring; however, during the move, his knee gave out and the referee threw up an "X", signifying that Cass was injured and could not finish the match.
In an update, WWE has officially confirmed via WWE.com that Cass is indeed injured:
"Big Cass suffered an injury to his left knee during the Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore on Raw, WWE.com can confirm. The injury occurred after Amore dodged a big boot by pulling down the top rope, sending Cass to the floor in the process.
'It’s hard to tell what the extent of the injury is, but we’re going to send him to get an MRI tomorrow and figure that out,' said WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson.
Stay with WWE.com as more details about Cass’ condition are revealed."
