In what will be remembered for a quite some time in WWE, Shawn Michaels made a surprise appearance on the WWE SummerSlam Kickoff show as the face of KFC, Colonel Sanders! Michaels made his way to the ring entertaining fans with his signature poses.

According to a number of sources, the Nature Boy Ric Flair was originally supposed to be the SummerSlam Colonel for WWE and KFC's cross-promotional advertising spot.

For obvious reasons, Flair could not attend last night's SummerSlam. However, HBK sure did make a good Colonel and we're certain that it put a smile on the face of Flair while he recovers in hospital.
