Welcome to Smackdown Live from Providence, Rhode Island and we are days away from Summerslam which takes place this Sunday from the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York and we kick things with the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal making his way out to the ring accompanied by The Singh Brothers

Mahal says today is Independence Day in India and no matter what the fans think his inspiration comes from his people and what better way to celebrate Independence Day than with his people and we go to the stage where we see dancers making their way down to ringside. We then get a rendition of India's national anthem. The crowd begins to boo and Jinder says this is the reaction he expected but tonight everyone can expect him to beat John Cena and for 15 years Cena has had the weight of WWE on his shoulders but there is a new face today and he is the reason fans are subscribing to WWE Network

Two weeks ago Cena faced Shinsuke Nakamura in a dream match but tonight his dream will turn into a nightmare when Mahal beats Cena more convincingly than Nakamura ever could and at Summerslam he will defeat Shinsuke Nakamura. Mahal then begins to speak to his people in his language but is interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura

Mahal says how dare Nakamura disparage his people on India's Independence Day. Nakamura acknowledges that it is indeed Independence Day but on Sunday will be the day Jinder loses the WWE Title to Nakamura

BECKY LYNCH VS NATALYA

Side headlock by Natalya reversed by Becky. Becky off the ropes with a shoulderblock to Natalya. Natalya with a slap and Becky fires back with a series of rights. Becky with a nearfall and immediately goes after the arm but Natalya slides out of the ring. Baseball slide to Natalya as we go to break

-Commercial-

We go split screen and Becky with a clothesline off the apron.  Natalya gets back into the ring and she goes back to the floor.  Natalya tries for a shoulder but Becky moves and she kicks Natalya and follows with a springboard kick to knock Natalya off the apron.  Becky is sent into the ring post.  Natalya sends Becky back into the ring and she kicks Becky in the corner.  Natalya with more kicks in the corner and she pulls Becky to the center of the ring for a near fall.  Natalya with a sleeper.

Natalya chokes Becky in the ropes and follows with a forearm to the back of the head. Natalya with an abdominal stretch. Natalya with shots to the ribs to add more damage. Becky with a hip toss to escape the hold. Becky with an elbow and clotheslines followed by a drop kick and exploder. Becky with a running forearm into the corner and she gets a near fall. Becky goes for DisArmHer but Natalya escapes and tries for the Sharpshooter but Becky escapes. Becky goes for DisArmHer and Natalya escapes. Becky with an enzuigiri and she goes to the turnbuckles.

Becky misses with the legdrop from the top turnbuckle and Natalya locks the sharpshooter in for the submission

The winner of the match: Natalya

Post Match: Natalya attacks Becky and reapplies the Sharpshooter. Naomi goes into the ring and Natalya leaves.

Carmella's music plays and she moonwalks on the stage and she is with James Ellsworth.

Carmella says we have the Smackdown Women's Champion Naomi. We also have her opponent on Sunday, Natalya. She wishes them the best of luck on Sunday. James says that whoever wins on Sunday, they lose.

We are back with a look at what happened last week to Shane McMahon at the foot of AJ Styles.

Lana is in the locker room and Tamina Snuka enters. She wants to know why she does not have a match tonight. Tamina says that Lana was supposed to help her get a title match. Lana says that Tamina is not ready. Lana says they don't see her and they don't fear her. Tamina wants to know why they don't fear her.

Lana tells Tamina if she follows her, they will fear her. After her help, she will become a destructive force. Together, they will become unstoppable. Then she will be ready to become Smackdown Women's Champion.

Daniel Bryan is in his office and The Usos show up and Daniel is ready to talk about Sweet Beets. Jimmy wants to know which members of the New Day they will be facing. Daniel says they will face Big E and Xavier Woods. Jimmy and Jey want to face Kofi and Xavier tonight.

RUSEV VS CHAD GABLE

They lock up with a test of strength and Rusev with kicks and punches. Rusev with another punch and Irish whip but Rusev runs into a boot. Gable with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Rusev goes to the floor and Gable follows. Rusev sends Gable into the ring steps. Rusev slams Gable's head into the ring steps. Rusev tosses Gable over the announce table as the referee gets to the ten count.

Rusev and Gable lock up with a test of strength and Rusev with kicks and punches. Another punch by Rusev and an irish whip but Rusev runs into a boot. Gable with a belly to belly suplex, Rusev goes to the floor and Gable follows but is sent into the ring steps. Rusev slams Gable's head into the ring steps and tosses him over the announce table as the referee reaches the 10 count

The winner of the match: Double Count Out

Post Match: Rusev re-arranges the announce table and picks up Gable Rusev stomps on the back and applies the Accolade on the announce table. The referee points at Rusev and asks him to release the hold
Rusev takes the mic and he goes into the ring. Rusev starts to speak but a flash comes out of the corner and it is Randy Orton with an RKO.

We are back and AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.

Video: We take a look at what happened last week when AJ Styles inadvertently kicked Shane McMahon.

Shane makes his way out onto the stage and goes down to the ring. Shane says if AJ invited him out to the ring for an apology there is no reason to apologize. Shane says he is guest referee on Sunday night to get between Kevin Owens and AJ Styles

AJ says that kick was an accident but wants to know after what happened if Shane won't use this as a new excuse to screw Styles over at Summerslam

Shane says what happened last week was an accident. He was in harm's way. Sunday he will be wearing the black and white and AJ will have to respect the official's authority and cannot place his hands on a referee

Shane says last week was an accident but if AJ puts his hands on Shane again, Shane will put his all over AJ and Styles wants to know if that's a threat. Shane says that's not a threat and before he can continue Kevin Owens' music plays bringing out the challenger

Kevin says that AJ said what happened last week was an accident. If Shane wants to give AJ the benefit of the doubt, he does not believe AJ. The only thing that is happening here is the referee is telling you the rules on Sunday. Kevin says he loves those rules. If AJ hits Shane, Shane hits back. You cannot get disqualified just to keep the title. Kevin says he wants to make something clear. Unlike AJ Styles, who has something planned at SummerSlam, if he collides with or hits you on Sunday, it will be an accident. Kevin says he is a man of his word and he is thrilled that Shane is the referee on Sunday. He knows that Shane will call it down the middle and he will get his title back.

Shane tells Kevin, it would not be appropriate to shake his hand. Shane says Kevin should shake hands with his opponent on Sunday.

Kevin offers his hand to AJ. AJ puts his finger in Kevin's face and they push each other. Kevin pushes Shane and AJ punches Shane. Shane blocks a punch from AJ and Shane yells at AJ. Kevin tries to super kick AJ in the back of the head but AJ moves and Kevin super kicks Shane

The New Day make their way down to the ring.  Kofi says on Sunday, the New Day, have an important title match, but against who? Xavier asks Big E about having to face the Usos. Xavier says the Usos begged for a match tonight to catch hands tonight. They can catch hands on Sunday. Big E says that they will still be the Smackdown World Tag Team Champions.

THE NEW DAY VS THE USOS

Kofi and Jey star things off and Kofi with kicks and Woods tags in and they hit a series of double team moves and hit many back sentons. Jey goes to the floor. Kofi and Xavier with baseball slides to Jimmy and Jey. Jimmy with an uppercut to Woods and Jey sends Kofi into the ring post.

The Usos bring Kofi into the ring and make a wish. Jimmy chokes Kofi in the ropes and then Jey hits a knee to the back of the head when the referee was not looking. Kofi blocks a kick but Jimmy with a dragon whip and he gets a near fall. Jimmy with a reverse chin lock. Kofi tries to get to his corner to make a tag but Jimmy stops him. Jey tags in and he kicks Kofi. Jey with a nerve hold. Jey with a slam. Jey with another slam and he walks across Kofi's chest. Kofi escapes a slam and he hits a belly-to-back suplex. Jimmy and Woods tag in and Woods with forearms and he sends Jimmy into the ropes for a hesitation drop kick. Woods with an Honor Roll to Jey. Woods with a forearm to Jimmy and Woods gets sent to the apron and Jimmy with an uppercut.

Woods with an enzuigiri. Kofi tags in and they hit double super kicks but Jey breaks up the cover. Woods with a rolling elbow to Jimmy but Jey sends Woods to the floor. Kofi sends Jey into the turnbuckles and Kofi with a back breaker. Jimmy pushes Woods off the turnbuckles and then Kofi gets clipped. Jimmy and Jey hit a double super kick for the three count.

We are back and it is time to go to Fashion Peaks.

Fandango reminds us he was abducted by aliens and he got probed . . . mentally probed.

Tyler enters and he mentions they have many mysteries remaining. He says they don't want it to look like they are making it up.

Fandango shows Tyler a rock that he had in his back . . . pocket when the aliens probed him. He will throw the space rock to stop the perpetrators. He throws the rock and it hits The Ascension. they say they are returning the pie.

Fandango pulls hairs out of the pie. He pulls out a used bandaid and a balloon. Viktor says that they live a gluten free lifestyle. Fandango pulls out a note and it says 'Two B'. Fandango says there is a dark presence that goes beyond Fashion Peaks. The entire tag team division is in danger. Fandango and Tyler stare into the distance and we are told that Breezango will return in 25 years . . . or two weeks.

JOHN CENA VS JINDER MAHAL

Cena and Mahal scream at each other before going for a test of strength. They lock up. Mahal has the advantage and he kicks Cena when Cena almost gets to a neutral position. Mahal with a side head lock but Cena with a shoulder tackle. Cena with a side head lock and Mahal punches Cena on the break. Samir with a punch when Mahal had the referee distracted. Cena is sent to the floor and the Singhs mock Cena.

-Commercial-

We are back and Mahal with a suplex. Cena with two flying shoulder tackles followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cena sets for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and Cena connects. Mahal is pulled to the floor by the Singhs. Cena chases Mahal around the ring and the Singhs grab Cena's legs as he gets back into the ring. The Singhs are sent to the back because the referee saw the Singhs cheating.

Cena puts Mahal in the STF but Mahal gets to the ropes. Cena gets Mahal on his shoulders but Mahal gets to the apron and he drops Cena on the top rope. Mahal with the Harley Race knee to Cena and Mahal gets a near fall. Mahal sets for the Khallas but Cena powers out of it. Cena with an Attitude Adjustment for a near fall. Cena picks up Mahal and puts him on the turnbuckles. Cena sets for a super Attitude Adjustment and he hits it and Baron Corbin attacks Cena and the referee calls for the bell.

The winner of the match: John Cena by DQ

Post Match:  Corbin hits Cena with the briefcase. Corbin walks up the ramp but turns around. We are going to have a cash in.

BARON CORBIN VS JINDER MAHAL

Corbin sees Cena on the apron and punches Cena. Mahal with a rollup for the three count.

The winner of the match: Jinder Mahal
