Tetsuya Naito defeated Kenny Omega to win the 27th annual G1 Climax Tournament at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The win makes Naito a two-time winner of the tournament, which he also won in 2013. It also means Naito will challenge for the IWGP World Title at the annual Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4, 2018.
Naito cut a promo after the match, thanking the fans and saying it was a win for them.
