WWE Raw Results (8/7) Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Welcome to Monday Night Raw and we are live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the road to Summerslam continues. We kick things off with the Miztourage

MizTV

Miz is in the ring with Maryse, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel. Miz says he is not in the mood and Raw will not begin until he gets what he wants. He wants Kurt Angle's illegitimate son Jason Jordan to come out now. He is so sick of being blindsided and cheap shot on his show. It stops tonight. Miz invites Jason to MizTV so he can finish what Jason started.

Kurt Angle comes out instead and he says his son will not be a guest tonight. Jason has a match against Curtis Axel tonight. Angle says he has a guest who will exceed MizTV standards. Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring accompanied by Paul Heyman

Miz says he runs things around here. Your client . . . BROCK LESNAR is pretty much guaranteed to lose at SummerSlam because from his perspective, it is not about will he lose the title, it is who walks out of SummerSlam with the Universal Title. Brock doesn't even have to be pinned to lose the title. We know we are going to see an unbeatable champion leave that match an ex-champion.

Miz says that Paul said if Brock loses at SummerSlam, both of you will leave WWE. Miz says if he is a gambling man, he is putting his money on Roman Reigns. He is putting his money on Braun Strowman. He is putting his money on Samoa Joe. One of them is walking out as the Universal Champion. Brock can take his ball and go home. Miz says good riddance to bad rubbish. Miz asks Mr. Advocate if he would like to add anything.

Paul says that after being put in his place by the Miz, he reminds everyone who he is and that he is the advocate for the Universal Champion. On behalf of his client, and not to be too personal, do you and your wife ever role play? Paul asys he is all about the role play. Let's have little role play. Miz, you're Roman Reigns. Bo, you are so intense that you are Samoa Joe. Curtis, you're Braun Strowman.

In this game of role play, Brock Lesnar gives you a preview of SummerSlam. Paul leaves the ring and Brock clotheslines Bo and Curtis. Brock with a German suplex to Miz and then a German suplex to Axel. Bo gets a German suplex. Brock gives Curtis and F-5. Bo gets an F-5. Miz goes up and he gets an F-5.

SETH ROLLINS VS SHEAMUS (W/CESARO)

Rollins quick on the attack right out of the gate. Rollins launches himself over the ropes and Sheamus is in trouble as Rollins puts the boots to the Celtic Warrior. Rollins charges at Sheamus who side steps regaining control

On the outside, Rollins with a chop but Sheamus picks him up delivering a slam onto the apron as Raw goes to break

-Commercial-

Back from break, Rollins tries to fight back but Sheamus still in control delivering the 10 Beats Of The Bohdran. Rolling senton to Sheamus. Sheamus setting up for The Brogue Kick but misses and Rollins with a superkick. High knee by Sheamus and Rollins respondes with an enziguri.

Sheamus connects with a boot as he goes to the second rope. Sheamus climbs the rope but gets knocked down by Sheamus. Sheamus to the top rope and Rollins quickly to the top rope gets knocked down but rolls through. Rollins back up and again Sheamus sends him to the mat. Rollins with a superkick.

Rapid-fire kicks by Rollins. Backdrop to Rollins. Rollins with a Slingblade. Cesaro is knocked off the apron. Rollins off the top rope but Cesaro back up for the distraction as Sheamus rolls him up for the three count

The winner of the match: Sheamus

Post Match: Rollins looks to take out the tag team champions but the numbers game quickly catches up as they double team Rollins

Backstage: Rollins is shown walking and comes across Dean Ambrose who tells him not to do that again because now he looks like a real jerk. Rollins says Ambrose IS a real jerk. It's been three years and wants to know what he has to do to prove he's not the same guy. Ambrose says he's not sticking around to find out he's going alone

JASON JORDAN VS JEAN PIERRE GOULET

Jordan goes after the leg tripping Goulet up. Jordan picks Goulet up and slams and now Jordan with the Oklahoma Roll on Goulet. Goulet with an elbow to the nose.

Right hand by Goulet. Jordan powers Goulet into the corner and throws him across the ring. Shoulderblock and a neckbreaker to Goulet for the three count

Bayley comes out to the ring to address the news of her shoulder injury. She says last week during the match she felt her shoulder get warm and has never felt anything like that before but knew she had to finish the match to prove she was any kind of a threat to Alexa Bliss' title and she thanks everyone who sent her messages and she's moving forward and tonight two triple threat matches take place to determine a new #1 Contender and her choice for who will face Alexa Bliss is her best friend Sasha Banks

SASHA BANKS VS ALICIA FOX VS EMMA

Sasha goes after Alicia and Emma goes after Sasha but gets sent to the outside. Alicia with a kick and a nearfall. Irish whip but Sasha side steps rolling Alicia up for a nearfall. Sasha off the ropes gets pulled out of the ring by Emma who slams her spine first onto the apron. Emma back in the ring lands a kick to Alicia and Emma unloads with punches on Alicia and goes for the cover but gets a nearfall.

Emma has Alicia tied up in the ropes but breaks the 5 count. Right hand by Alicia and now Alicia in control with a right hand. She throws Emma across the ring. Northern Lights suplex by Alicia and a kick out at 2 Emma with a dropkick but Sasha back in with a Shining Wizard to Emma. Double knees to Alicia. Double knees to Emmaa.

Alicia with the double stomp in the corner. Nearfall broken up by Emma. Emma for the cover and a nearfall for Emma. Sasha locks in the Bank Statement on Alicia. Emma breaks it up and rolls up Sasha. Sasha locks the Bank Statement in on Emma who taps out

The winner of the match by submission: Sasha Banks

Backstage: Braun Strowman addresses Roman Reigns saying he loves hearing the sound of Roman Reigns' bones cracking and when he's around the big dog is just a puppy. Tonight, he will break Roman Reigns and at Summerslam he will become the new Universal Champion

Enzo Amore comes out to the ring and does his usual entrance followed by the introduction of the Big Show. Enzo says teamwork makes the dream work and when Show holds him up his head is in the clouds.

Enzo addresses Show knocking out Cass last week and he doesn't know if he can give his fist all the credit. Cass isn't sawft but his chin sure is. The Club comes out and says Show and Enzo are celebrating but they haven't won nothing and if they want a challenge then Gallows and Anderson are standing right here.

ENZO AMORE AND BIG SHOW VS THE CLUB

The Club take control early on as we go to break.

-Commercial-

Back from break, The Club still in control scoring a nearfall on Enzo. Anderson working over the arm keeping Enzo grounded. Enzo reaching out for a tag but Anderson puts a stop to that whipping Enzo in the corner. Anderson charges as Enzo sidesteps

Gallows in preventing the tag. Enzo with lefts and rights still looking for a tag. Superkick by Gallows. Big Cass makes his way onto the stage. Show spots him as Gallows connects with a boot. Gallows and Anderson look for the Magic Killer. Enzo kicks Anderson away. Anderson with a kick to the face and the cover for the three count

The winner of the match: The Club

Post Match: Cass lays Show out with the big boot unloading with punches. Enzo goes airborne taking Cass out and Cass picks Enzo up throwing him into the barricade. Cass rolls Enzo back into the ring but Enzo slides out. Cass continues to stalk Enzo and a KO lays Cass out

Backstage: Finn Balor is shown walking

-Commercial-

Finn Balor makes his way to the ring and he asks if everyone saw him kick Bray Wyatt in the teeth last week which is hard seeing as Bray loves to talk. He says when fear comes after Finn, he kicks fear in the face and it doesn't matter if it's at Summerslam or right here in Toronto tonight, whenever Bray's ready he'll finish what Wyatt started

The lights go out and come back on and Bray is standing in the middle of the ring with Finn sitting atop the turnbuckle. Finn goes after Bray laying him out with the slingblade. The lights go out and and a spotlight comes back on with Bray nowhere to be found and he adreeses Finn from the big screen

-Commercial-

DEAN AMBROSE VS ANTONIO CESARO

Waistlock by Ambrose as he takes Cesaro to the mat. Cesaro counters looking for a headlock but Ambrose goes to work on the arm applying a hammerlock. Irish whip and a shoulderblock knocks Dean to the mat. Side headlock and another irish whip this time it's Ambrose with the shoulder tackle.

Test of strength between Ambrose and Cesaro and Dean is powered to the mat. Ambrose avoiding the pin by keeping his shoulders off the mat. Ambrose sends Cesaeo flying. Cesaro has Ambrose backed in the corner delivering an uppercut.

Another series of uppercuts. Ambrose ducks hitting a clothesline and he hammers away with a right hand. Series of punches in the corner. Cesaro sends Ambrose face first into the turnbuckle. Legdrop by Cesaro. Clothesline to Dean for a nearfall. Chinlock by Cesaro

Ambrose breaks the hold and delivers a swinging neckbreaker. Clothesline sends Cesaro over the ropes to the outside. Sheamus with a distraction and Cesaro attacks from behind as we go to break

-Commercial-

Kneestrike by Cesaro. Dean in control once more going for a suplex. Cesaro knocks Dean off the turnbuckle. Ambrose back up. Cesaro delivering a series of headbutts.

Dean in trouble as he hooks Ambrose up but Ambrose counters with a superplex. Powerslam by Cesaro and now Cesaro targetting the lower back

Ambrose trying to fight back with chops and Ambrose with a clothesline as he starts to mount a comeback. Cesaro sidesteps Ambrose and delivers an uppercut. Gutwrench suplex by Cesaro. Cesaro looking for the Neutralizer but Dean counters connecting with a boot. Ambrose to the top rope jumps off rolls through. Dirty Deeds countered as he looks for the Sharpshooter but Ambrose counters.

Cesaro is sent over the top rope. Ambrose flies through the rope looking for a suicide dive but Cesaro hits an uppercut. Shoulderblock and Dean gets thrown onto the ropes.

Another superplex attempt but Ambrose blocks it dumping Cesaro face first to the mat. Roll up by Dean for a nearfall. Sheamus on the apron for the distraction. Cesaro locks the sharpshooter in and Ambrose tries to drag himself to the ropes and he forces the break.

Ambrose launches Cesaro over the top rope and Ambrose goes airborne once more hitting an elbow to the back of the neck. Ambrose picks Cesaro up rolling him into the ring. Ambrose to the top rope, Sheamus with the distraction and Cesaro rolls Dean up for the three count

The winner of the match: Cesaro

Post Match: The tag team champions double team Ambrose until Seth Rollins runs out for the save

Backstage: Tozawa, Crews, and Titus are in the locker room. Titus says Tozawa was the best investment he could have made.

Neville enters the locker room and he says he is not here to fight. He is here to scout his competition for SummerSlam, if he is his competition.

Titus says Neville has done everything to try to beat Tozawa down, but he is still here.

Neville says he saw Tozawa beat Daivari, but tonight he faces someone who has nothing to lose. Neville says that is risky, but what does he know.

-Commercial-

We are back and we get comments from Ariya Daivari about not being able to honor Iran at SummerSlam, so he will gain his revenge against Tozawa tonight.

AKIRA TOZAWA VS ARIYA DAIVARI

They lock up and Tozawa with a hammer lock but Daivari with an elbow in the corner. Daivari with a clothesline for a near fall. Daivari with a wrist lock and he adds pressure to the shoulder. Daivari with a back breaker for a near fall. Tozawa with chops but Daivari with an Irish whip and clothesline for a near fall. Daivari gets another near fall. Daivari with a key lock. Tozawa with a punch but Daivari with a punch. Tozawa with a rana and a running forearm to knock Daivari off the apron. Tozawa sets for the suicide dive and hits it. Tozawa gets a near fall. Tozawa with a back heel kick but he misses another kick. Daivari with shots to the injured shoulder but Tozawa with a Saito suplex.

Tozawa goes up top for the back senton and he hits it and gets the three count.

The winner of the match: Akira Tozawa

Post Match: Tozawa and Titus celebrate in the ring.

Backstage: Renee Young is with Roman Reigns. She asks him about Brock's appearance at the start of Raw. Roman says he didn't watch MizTV but he heard about it. He does not care if Brock stays in the WWE. He retired Undertaker so he does not care about retiring Brock. Roman says tonight will be just like last week. He beat Samoa Joe last week and he will be the last man standing tonight.

-Commercial-

We are back and Alexa Bliss has joined the announcers again.

MICKIE JAMES VS NIA JAX VS DANA BROOKE

Nia sends Dana to the mat and then Nia tosses Mickie across the ring. Nia with a head butt to Dana but Mickie with a kick to Nia. Nia throws Mickie at Dana and both are sent into the corner. Nia misses a splash into the corner and she hits the ring post and goes to the floor. Mickie and Dana exchange punches. They go rapid fire with punches until Mickie kicks Dana. Dana kicks back.

We see Sasha watching on the monitor in the back as Dana gets a near fall. Nia with a running body block to Mickie and she goes to the floor. Dana with forearms and a drop kick. Dana with a handspring back elbow in the corner. Nia with a shoulder tackle to Dana. Nia with a fallaway slam to Dana and Mickie with a seated splash to Nia off the turnbuckles and she gets a near fall on Dana but Nia breaks up the cover.

Nia sends Mickie to the floor and Dana with a choke but Nia sends Dana to the mat. Nia with a leg drop and she gets the three count.

The winner of the match: Nia Jax

-Commercial-

We are back and Goldust quotes The Graduate and he asks if you missed him. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. He is about to burst and he is looking forward to showing his next masterpiece. Goldust says he will be watching very closely. Will he find his next hero, his next villain? Perhaps a beautiful new starlet to grace his silver screen. Under his direction, they will shine . . . like gold. The Golden Age is back.

Kurt Angle is on the phone and Colin Cassady enters the office. He says he wants Big Show at SummerSlam. He wants Enzo nowhere near New York. Kurt suggests putting Enzo in a shark cage. Colin changes his mind and he says he wants Enzo to be there watching Colin take care of Show. Kurt says this could be the attraction. Kurt says it will be Colin versus Big Show with Enzo suspended over the ring in a shark cage. Colin leaves and Kurt wonders if Enzo is afraid of heights.

-Commercial-

LAST MAN STANDING: ROMAN REIGNS VS BRAUN STROWMAN

Strowman meets Roman in the aisle and Roman punches Strowman. Strowman sends Roman into the ringside barrier and then he throws Roman into the ring. Roman with punches and he tries to get Strowman up for a Samoan drop but Strowman with a forearm to the back. Strowman with a back elbow. The referee starts his count and Roman gets back to his feet. Strowman with a hard Irish whip. Roman with a punch but Strowman with knees. Strowman with a shoulder tackle that sends Roman to the floor and the referee starts his count.

-Commercial-

We are back and Strowman throws the ring steps into the ring and then he sends Roman into the ring. We see footage of Strowman knocking down Roman with a body block. Roman with clotheslines but Strowman stays on his feet. Roman with NeverEnding Story. Roman with a boot to Strowman and Braun stays on his feet. Roman with another boot but Braun stays on his feet. Roman grabs the ring steps and he picks them up and he hits Strowman with them. The referee starts his count.

Roman hits Strowman in the shoulders and he hits Strowman again as Strowman is down on the mat. Roman hits Strowman again with the steps and the referee starts his count,. Strowman stops a Superman punch with a bear hug. Strowman sends Roman into the turnbuckles and then he hits a Dominator that gets the referee to start counting. Roman is back to his feet. Strowman picks up Roman but Roman gets to his feet. Roman with a Superman punch to Strowman and both men are down. Both get back to their feet.

Roman sets for the spear but Strowman with a running drop kick. Strowman charges into the corner but Roman move and Strowman hits the ring post and goes to the floor. The referee starts his count again. Roman goes to the floor and hits the broad jump drop kick. The referee starts his count but Strowman gets to his feet. Roman gets a table from under the ring. Roman goes for another broad jump drop kick but Strowman moves and hits a clothesline. While the referee continues his count, Strowman starts to set up the table. Roman punches Strowman.

Roman gets Strowman on his shoulders for a Samoan Drop and he sends Strowman through the table. The referee starts his count. Both men get back to their feet. Roman runs around the corner for a spear but Strowman throws a chair at Roman and Roman is down. Roman is able to get up with help from the ringside barrier. They fight into the crowd. Strowman punches Roman as they continue to walk through the crowd. Roman with punches and they are by the announce table. Roman sends Strowman's head into the side and front of the announce table. Roman with a broad jump drop kick to Strowman and Strowman falls to the stage.

The referee starts his count but Strowman gets back to his feet and he throws Reigns into the LED screens on the TitanTron. Reigns gets back up and Strowman runs Roman into the screens again. Strowman adjusts the announce table. Strowman sets for a power bomb through the announce table but Reigns escapes and hits a Superman punch but Strowman stays on his feet. Reigns with a second Superman punch and Strowman stays on his feet. Roman sets for a spear on the stage but Strowman with a kick. Reigns with a spear and both men are down.

Samoa Joe is in the crowd and he applies the Coquina Clutch. Joe adds the body scissors and Roman is out.

Officials come out and point at Joe and tell him to go to the back.

The referee makes his count and Strowman gets to his feet and the referee counts to ten.

The winner of the match: Braun Strowman
