UFC is reportedly looking to schedule a fight between former Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida and Mamed "Cannibal" Khalidov, who has not suffered a loss in his mixed martial arts career in over seven years.
If this fight were to happen, it would be a return to the UFC Octagon for Machida, as the 39-year-old former Light Heavyweight Champion has not competed in UFC since June of 2015 when he suffered a loss at the hands of Yoel Romero. Khalidov, 37, is widely considered to be one of the best fighters on the market today to have never competed in UFC. He has been successful in both middleweight and light heavyweight divisions and is currently on a 14-fight winning streak.
Machida currently holds a professional MMA record of 22-7, while Khalidov holds a record of 34-4-2.
UFC is reportedly looking to schedule this fight for October 21st in Gdańsk, Poland.
