As was previously reported, WWE has released NXT star HoHo Lun from his contract. The former Cruiserweight Classic competitor had only made a few appearances in NXT since the conclusion of the CWC.

It's being reported that Lun actually requested his release from WWE due to personal family issues. It's currently unknown if the door is open for Lun to return to WWE once he takes care of these issues, or if he would even want to return to WWE.
