Former two-time WWE NXT Champion "The King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura has just defeated the legendary 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena on SmackDown Live to become the Number One Contender to Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship. Nakamura will challenge Mahal at the SummerSlam pay-per-view in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Nakamura withstood two Attitude Adjustments from John Cena and when Cena went for a third Attitude Adjustment, Nakamura gave him a vicious Suplex which resulted in Cena landing on his head/neck. Cena managed to get up but Nakamura immediately caught him with the Kinshasa knee strike to finish off the future WWE Hall of Famer.
WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, along with the Singh Brothers at his side, witnessed the action from a luxury sky box in the arena.
