As previously announced Brock Lesnar will be defending the WWE Universal Championship at the company's upcoming SummerSlam event in August against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and Samoa Joe in a Fatal 4 Way Match.
On Monday night's edition of WWE Raw, Lesnar and Paul Heyman appeared during the opening of the broadcast, which was kicked off by General Manager Kurt Angle, and Heyman demanded to know why Lesnar was being made to defend his title in this type of a match. As the segment concluded, Heyman announced that if Lesnar loses the championship at SummerSlam to either of his three opponents, then both Lesnar and Heyman will leave WWE.
