Today marks the two-year anniversary since the passing of WWE Hall of Famer 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper who died of a heart attack triggered by a pulmonary embolism in his lungs.
Piper was famed for being one of the best heels in professional wrestling, and fans loved his intense and unpredictable "Piper's pit" in-ring segments. He headlined the first-ever WrestleMania in a tag-team match alongside Paul Orndorff against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T.
Outside of wrestling, Piper acted in dozens of films and TV shows, including the lead role of John Nada in the 1988 cult classic They Live and a recurring role as a deranged professional wrestler on the FX comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
