WWE Planning Match Between Kevin Owens & Shane McMahon?

There is a rumor making the rounds that WWE is planning on doing a match between former Universal, Intercontinental, and United States Champion Kevin Owens and current SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculated that the segment on this week's SmackDown where Shane forced Owens to defend the U.S. Championship in a Triple Threat Match may have been the beginning of WWE's plans to eventually have Owens and Shane square off inside the ring.

If WWE does indeed book a match between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens, it could very well take place at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view.
