A helicopter carrying WWE SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and one other person made a controlled emergency landing in the Atlantic Ocean off Long Island's Gilgo Beach Wednesday morning, according to Suffolk County officials.Â
The pilot reportedly made an emergency Mayday call just before landing in the water. McMahon and the other passenger ended up in the water but both thankfully had life vests on. A commercial flight heading to John F. Kennedy International Airport reported the helicopters Mayday to FAA controllers.
Although FAA reported the incident as a crash the helicopter was seen resting on pontoons and not submerged.
The report indicates both McMahon and the other person involved were ferried to shore and there were no reported injuries.Â
