WWE Looking To Renew Year Old Feud For Next Month's SummerSlam

Posted By: Ben Jordan Kerin on Jul 13, 2017

WWE is looking set to renew the rivalry between United States Champion AJ Styles and John Cena at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event in Brooklyn, New York, according to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer said:

"It looks like they’re building towards a John Cena vs. AJ Styles rematch for SummerSlam, because they made it very clear that they’re gonna. Even at the end when they were facing off, and during the show they wanted to do the match, and it’s a good match for both of them."

Styles and Cena has a high-profile feud in the Summer of 2016, which actually resulted in them having a singles match last year's SummerSlam in which Styles defeated Cena.
