Subscribers to the WWE Network may have noticed that since the Network's launch, WWE's 2006-2010 revival of ECW has been nowhere to be seen on the Network. According to a report from WWENetworkNews.com, WWE's version of ECW will soon be made available on the WWE Network.
As fans may recall, WWE's ECW ran for about three-and-a-half years from June of 2006 until February of 2010 when it was replaced by NXT. The show remained a one-hour program for its entirety and was considered to be WWE's third brand behind Raw and SmackDown.
WWE's version of ECW did produce several high-profile Superstars who went on to achieve great success in WWE, including C.M. Punk, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, and Kelly Kelly. It also allowed a handful of veteran Superstars to enjoy main event status during their time on the brand and even capture the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. The likes of Rob Van Dam, Kane, Big Show, Mark Henry, Christian, Matt Hardy, Tommy Dreamer, and Chavo Guerrero Jr. all had reigns as the ECW Champion.
