Ring of Honor Signs Major Broadcasting Deal In India

Discovery Communications has announced that they have agreed to a deal with Ring of Honor to broadcast on their new Indian channel DSPORT, which launched earlier this year.

The deal would make ROH available to over 70 million homes in India, which is roughly the same number that is available to Impact Wrestling on POP TV in the United States. WWE reaches over 96 million homes for both Raw and SmackDown Live on USA Network.

India is considered the next big market for the wrestling industry to crack with Impact Wrestling embarking on a tour in the country soon and WWE putting the focus on their first India Champion Jinder Mahal in a bid to gain more viewers in what is being viewed as a highly lucrative market.
