22 people have been left dead and over 60 injured after two explosions at the Manchester Arena in England toward the end of an Ariana Grande music concert.
This is the arena that WWE attends during their yearly tours of the United Kingdom.
WWE is due to host an NXT Live event there in two weeks and Raw and SmackDown television tapings in November.
The incident has been confirmed as a terror attack in which a suicide bomber detonated a backpack bomb. Many of the deaths will include kids and teenagers.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this terrible incident.
WNS Statement:
I'm absolutely shocked and saddened by the attack that took place at the #ManchesterArena tonight. I've been there myself a couple times for wrestling events over the years and can only imagine the horror and confusion that would have ensued within the arena and surrounding area.
Some readers have questioned my decision to post about the attack on WrestlingNewsSource.com. The reason I took the decision to do so is because of WWE's history with the arena, in fact, they are due to host Raw and SmackDown tapings there in November. It's also important to remember that as wrestling fans attending arenas like the Manchester Arena is part of our very culture and routine. We travel cities and countries to be entertained within these buildings and celebrate our freedoms just like these music goers who were attending an event they had a great passion for.
20+ people have been killed more than 60 injured. There are a lot of people displaced right now including kids who have been taken in by local business. It is likely that most of the dead are kids too.
My thoughts go out to all those affected by this horrible attack.
