AWA Star ‘Pretty Boy’ Doug Somers Passes Away

Former AWA World Tag Team champion “Pretty Boy” Doug Somers (Douglas Somerson) has passed away at the age of 65, according to PWinsider.

Somers worked in the American Wrestling Association in the mid-1980s as part of a tag team with "Playboy" Buddy Rose, managed by Sherri Martel. The tag team won the promotion’s tag team championship, defeating Scott Hall and Curt Hennig by count out.

We send out our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Doug Somers.
