WWE RAW Results (5/1)

RAW is live from Sacramento California this week. 

OPENING SEGMENT

Show starts with the RAW women's division in the ring. Ring has red mat down. Cue new RAW women's champion, Alexa Bliss. Bliss is having a championship coronation. Bliss takes a shot at Charlotte Flair saying the "Queen is dead". Bliss thanks Mickie James for being an inspiration but then makes an old joke to insult the former women's champion. Alexa then moves on to Sasha and gets into a confrontation with The Boss. Alexa then backs into the monster Nia Jax and backs down from Nia. Bliss mentions that she will be tagging with Jax later. The champion stands on a podium and starts to talk about former champion Bayley. She mentions how Bayley's entire family was in the front row for her loss last night in San Jose. Alexa mentions how Bayley's nephews were crying in the front row and that triggers Bayley to attack Alexa. The entire division breaks out into a brawl as we cut to commercial.

MATCH ONE:

Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, Emma and Alicia Fox vs Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Dana Brooke.

Starts off with Bayley and Emma. Bayley working chain locks until she tags in Mickie James. More the same until Mickie tags in Dana. Emma tags in Alicia without touching Dana while Dana gets some work in until tagging Sasha in. Sasha then tags in Bayley for a double team. Mickie comes in and lands a kick. Sasha tags in and goes for a pin on Fox for a two count. Sasha lands a straight jacket hold on Alicia. Sasha hits a seated Meteora for a two count. Fox hits an elbow and dumps Sasha to the outside. Both teams square off as we go to commercial. Back from commercial with Nia Jax working over Sasha. Nia rag dolls Banks and drops two huge elbows. Bliss in to work on Sasha with rope assisted stomps. Sasha tries fighting out of the corner only to get dropped by Alexa. Sasha gets to Bayley as a fired up Bayley hits Alexa with clotheslines and a side suplex. Mickie James comes off the top on to Nia Jax, Dana gets taken out by Emma, Sasha and Fox brawl to the outside and that left Bayley and Alexa. Alexa takes the eyes and hits her DDT for the three count.

WINNERS:

ALEXA BLISS, EMMA, NIA JAX & ALICIA FOX

We are told that we will get a medical update on both Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman later on. We are also told that we will be hearing from Seth Rollins.

Next match coming up will be Enzo Amore vs Luke Gallows as we see Enzo on his way to the ring with Big Cass behind him.

Match Two:

Enzo Amore w/ Big Cass vs Luke Gallows w/ Karl Anderson

Enzo and Cass out first and are attacked from behind by Anderson and Gallows. We cut to commercial before the match even starts. Gallows in control with some hard strikes and a lot of wearing down of the smaller guy from the big man. Enzo is sporting a brusied eye in this match. Enzo hits hit diving DDT and then some jabs a big field goal kick. Enzo hits an Eat Defeat and goes to the top rope. Gallows hits the flapjack for the win after Enzo is distract by Anderson.

WINNER: LUKE GALLOWS

Backstagesegment with TJ Perkins and Neville. Neville tells TJ that in his match with Aries to "make the most of his opportunity". 

Seth Rollins segment is up next. 

Smackdown Live commercial advertises Kevin Owens vs Chris Jericho for the United States Championship for tomorrow night's show. 

SETH ROLLINS PROMO:

Big reaction for Rollins in his entrance. He talks finding himself again and his win over Triple H and his win over Samoa Joe. Rollins calls out Brock Lesnar and says he wants the Universal Championship. Cue Finn Balor's music and Balor comes out and says the line starts behind him to face Brock Lesnar. Enter Dean Ambrose to a big pop and he says the intercontinental championship is the number one title and he's "itching for some action". Now here comes The Miz and Maryse and Miz talks about his time as Intercontinental Champion. Balor tells Miz he's the newest member of the "Finn Balor just kicked my ass club". The three babyfaces tell Miz to shut up simultaneously. Ambrose calls Kurt Angle on the phone and says Angle made the match The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the Number One Contendership to Ambrose's Intercontinental Championship.

Match Three:

Tony Nese, The Brian Kendrick & Noam Dar vs Rich Swann, Akira Tozawa & Jack Gallagher.

Tozawa and Kendrick start thematch. Tony Nese gets some offense in on Tozawa. The heels get knocked to the floor and Nese gets back body dropped over the ropes on top of them. Babyfaces stand tall going into commercial break. Nese gets a lot of offense in this match. Big suicide dive from Swann and Tozawa while Gallagher hits his Gentleman's Dropkick to pin Kendrick for the win.

WINNERS: Jack Gallagher, Akira Tozawa & Rich Swann

Clips from last night's Tag Team title match shown. Cesaro and Sheamus will be up next for a promo to explain last night's actions.

SHEAMUS & CESARO PROMO

The team is still doing the same entrance as they did as babyfaces. They are now sporting jackets with their country's patch on the shoulder. Sheamus says he's free from the fog that he was in and he never liked the fans. Cesaro says that the fans only like the nostalgia acts instead of appreciating the present. Sheamus makes a joke at Jeff getting his tooth knocked out. They close the promo by saying "They don't set the bar, they are the bar". Enter The Hardys who respond with DELETE and run down to the ring as Cesaro and Sheamus take a powter.

Match Four:

Apollo Crews w/ Titus O'Neil vs Heath Slater w/Rhyno

Crews and Slater were talking in the back about Apollo's upcoming first child. Titus involved himself and says that Apollo is talking to the enemy. Match starts and Apollo locks up with Slater and the two chain wrestle back and forth. Apollo hits some hard kicks and his big clothesline. Titus was coaching Crews through the match and Apollo hits his spin out powerbomb for the win. A lot of cheers for Slater in this match. Titus and Apollo take a selfie that Rhyno photobombs to O'Neil's disgust. 

WINNER: Apollo Crews

UPDATE ON Roman Reigns & Braun Strowman

Kurt Angle comes out to update us and states that Roman reinjured his ribs and that Strowman has torn his rotator cuff. Mid sentence, Bray Wyatt's sequence hits and out comes the Eater of Worlds. Wyatt squares off with the RAW GM to a lot of cheers. Bray introduces himself to Angle and shakes Kurt's hand. Wyatt asks Angle if he will walk by his side or stand in his way. He lets Angle know that this may be his show but this is his world. Very cryptic promo here with not a lot clear about Wyatt's intentions.

Back from commercial with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose. Seth says that Dean has been beat before. They speak in third person until tensions rise and Ambrose cuts his "interview".

MATCH FIVE:

Austin Aries vs TJP

Its worth noting that TJ Perkins' entrance video wall only said TJP, he was announced as TJP and his nameplate had only TJP. Even commentary was referring to him as only TJP. Match starts with Ariesnin control. Neville looking on from monitor in the back. Aries hit a high middle dropkick for a two count. TJP gets Aries stuck in the tree of woe and attacks the knee of Austin Aries. TJP working over Aries knee including a half crab in the ropes. Austin makes a comeback hitting some hard shots including his pendulum elbow, his diving elbow and his shin breaker combo. TJP went for the detonation kick when Aries locks in the Last Chancery to get the win. Post match, TJP attacks Aries' knee even more with his patented knee bar. Aries is left writhing in pain as Perkins leaves with a smirk on his face.

WINNER: Austin Aries 

Dean Ambrose interviews Finn Balor and Balor states that he eats nerves and he will leave number one contender. Elias Samson walks through the lobby after Balor walks away playing his guitar. Ambrose seems to be into The Drifter.

Golden Truth in the back with Kurt Angle. They ask to challenge the Hardy Boyz for the Tag Team Titles but are initially denied by Angle. Goldust pleads for the title shot. Angle announces a Tag Team turmoil match for next week to determine the number one contenders to The Hardys.

Main Event:

Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins vs The Miz

Balor is out first for the main event. Miz is out next with Maryse. Lastly comes Seth Rollins to the ring. Miz rolls out to allow Balor and Rollins to fight while he rests on the outside. Balor and Rollins chain wrestle while keeping an eye on Miz. Balor and Rollins force Miz into action by chasing him into the ring. Miz offers his hand to both guys until he gets kicked by Balor and dropped by Rollins. Miz is then sent to the outside and is prevented from getting back in the ring. Balor nails Rollins with a dropkick. Rollins almost hit a suicide dive until Miz pulled Maryse in front of him. Seth later gets tossed off the top rope by Miz and takes an ugly fall. Seth and Finn have an ugly collision when Rollins goes for a crossbody and his knee collides with Balor's neck. Miz works on Rollins and hits a flying double axe handle. Miz in control as he prevents Balor from entering the mix again. Miz starts his Daniel Bryan style kicks but misses the big kick and eats a DDT from Rollins with Balor's help. Balor starts his corner running chops until he punts Miz's head off from the apron. He nails Rollins with a dropkick on the outside and then a Reverse 1916 in the ring. Miz blocks the 1916 and gets thrown out of the ring. Balor hits the SlingBlade and when he goes for the dropkick, Miz crotches him on the ring pole. Miz attacks the knee and hits a snap DDT for a two count. Miz locks in the Figure Four Leglock on Rollins until Balor comes running with a Penalty Kick. All 3 men down and the crowd starts This is Awesome chants. Miz gets bumped out of the ring. Seth hits the superkick for a two count on Balor. Rollins hits the turnbuckle STO and then a double Blockbuster. Seth then nails Balor with a huge Frogsplash for a long two count. Rollins catches Miz on the top rope and hit some his superplex into a Falcon arrow for a long two again. Rollins is on fire with suicide dives for both opponents. Samoa Joe appears from out of nowhere and hits a uranage on Rollins in the outside. Balor hits the dropkick on Miz and goes for the Coupe De Grace until Bray Wyatt's sequence hits and Wyatt appears. Bray knocks Finn off of the top rope and nails him with a Sister Abigail. The Miz pins Finn Balor for a Thre Count to win the Triple Threat.
