Vader had a match at Korakuen Hall as part of the show celebrating the 45th anniversary of the debut of Tatsumi Fujinami. The belief was that he had fainted from being dehydrated and he was able to walk out under his own power, although he is telling people that it was from a concussion after being dropped on his head.
However, on this week’s Wrestling Observer newsletter. Vader was open about his congestive heart failure diagnosis and told people that he wanted to be able to live out the rest of his life on his terms. That is why he accepted the offer to wrestle this past weekend.
The feeling is that even before he passed out, that this would probably be his last time in Japan, period. Vader has gone on record saying that he does not have much time to live, and would love to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. When Vader first arrived on the wrestling scene, there was no one at his size that moved around like he did back then.
