WWE Not Holding A “WWE Draft” This Year

WWE is reportedly dropping the term "WWE Draft" at the request of Vince McMahon, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live.

A couple weeks ago, the "Superstar Shake-Up" took place on both Raw and SmackDown Live. The assumption was it would be a lighter version of the actual WWE Draft, which was assumed to be taking place after SummerSlam. However, it doesn't look like we are getting one this year as the "Shake-Up" was this year's version of the draft.

McMahon is said not to be keen on the word "Draft" and thus the change to terminology was made.
