WWE Planning To Split Up Rusev & Lana

WWE are due to be split up real life couple Rusev and Lana on screen in the not so distant future. As seen on this week's SmackDown Live, a promo featuring Lana aired teasing her return to the blue brand.

Dave Meltzer reports that the idea for Lana's new gimmick came from plans they had for the Emmaline character, which was dropped because WWE officials felt Emma couldn't pull the role off.

Rusev, on the other hand, is currently out rehabbing an injury following surgery. He won't be back until around SummerSlam.
