At Sunday night's WWE WrestleMania 33 event in Orlando, Florida, Roman Reigns defeated The Undertaker in the show's main event, which was surprisingly announced as a No Holds Barred Match before it began, as this was a stipulation that had not been previously advertised.
During the match itself, Reigns received the usual boos from the fans in attendance. Following the match, the fans began a "Thank You Taker" chant as The Undertaker raised himself up off the mat, and his music played after he put his trademark hat and trenchcoat back on while standing in the middle of the ring and looking out to the crowd, all while the lights around the ring in the The Citrus Bowl turned purple. The Undertaker then started to leave the ring, but stopped and removed his gloves, trenchcoat, and hat. He then laid each item neatly in a pile in the middle of the ring before leaving the ring itself and kissing his wife, former WWE Superstar Michelle McCool, who was seated in the front row. The Undertaker then walked back up the entrance ramp, stopped to look back at the ring, and raised his hand in the air before slowly lowering below the ramp itself via a special platform.
There has been a wide amount of speculation that The Undertaker's match at Sunday night's event may be his last, and his actions following his match against Reigns appear to confirm this.
