According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason why WWE officials decided to put the SmackDown Live Women's Championship Match back on the WrestleMania main card instead of the pre-show actually had nothing to do with fan criticism of the match being relegated to the pre-show. The real reason why they put it back on the main card was due to the timing of the matches and the segments. They realized while they were planning out the show that they will have a spot open for another match, so they decided to put the SmackDown Women's Title Match back on the main card.
