Dave Meltzer Claims JBL's Recent Comments About Mauro Ranallo Are The Likely Cause of His Current Absence

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer that JBL constantly bashing Mauro Ranallo on air about his pop culture references and activity on Twitter has contributed to Ranallo having to take time away from WWE to deal with his bipolar. 

It recently escalated after Mauro tweeted out about receiving the WON Announcer of the Year award which upset JBL who went on to talk about it on the WWE Network show "Bring it to the Table."

Meltzer also noted that JBL must have said to something to Mauro privately about it. Metlzer added that WWE is in a really tough position with JBL and Ranallo given that they are broadcast partners on SmackDown Live. Meltzer said it would look terrible if Ranallo didn't return to the company.

As we previously reported, Ranallo looks set to miss WrestleMania this Sunday.
