We kick things off with a recap of AJ Styles and Shane McMahon's heated confrontation backstage after the main event between Styles and Randy Orton, which resulted in Styles defeat. This was after Styles had thought he had earned a shot at Wrestlemania 33 against Bray Wyatt's title from beating Luke Harper the previous week. Daniel Bryan is then shown talking on the phone, and is interrupted by Styles. He says he needs to see Shane, and Bryan tells him to calm down. He says he'll slap the next person that says that and get's in Bryan's face. He says he's going to address what he feels is an anti-AJ conspiracy, and Bryan tells him to be careful, and that he has a career to think about. Styles says that's exactly what he's doing, and he makes his way to the ring.Â
Styles is openly livid, breathing heavy into the mic as "AJ Styles" chants break out. He says he's sick of being yanked around by Bryan and Shane. He says he jumped through every hooped he was asked to, and that when Cena came back and asked Bryan for a match he immediately got it. When he wanted his rematch he was put in a triple threat match where he didn't get pinned. Then there was the Elimination Chamber against 6 other people, the Battle Royal where he believes he won, and the match where he pinned Luke Harper twice for the shot. He says Orton shouldn't be going to Mania, he should be going to jail. He says he is the reason why there are butts in seats and subscribers on the Network. He says his reward is nothing, not even a match at Wrestlemania. He says him and Shane are going to have a conversation tonight about his career, one that Styles believes he may not even have after tonight.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Orton addresses Bray Wyatt.
