During tonight's Ring of Honor 15th Anniversary show, the legendary Christopher Daniels finally captured his first ROH World Championship and his first major singles World Championship of any kind by defeating Bullet Club's Adam Cole, a former three-time ROH World Champion.
Also known as "The Fallen Angel," "The Ring General," or "The Almighty," Christopher Daniels is a 45-year-old veteran of the squared circle with over 23 years of in-ring experience. He is well-known to both the ROH fanbase and the Impact Wrestling fanbase, as he is a former ROH World Television Champion and World Tag Team Champion, as well as a former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion and World Tag Team Champion.
He also briefly worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) before it was sold to Vince McMahon and WWE in 2001, and has also worked for countless independent promotions around the world throughout his career.
Widely considered to be one of the "Founding Fathers" of the Ring of Honor promotion, Daniels recently won the 2017 ROH Decade of Excellence Tournament to earn a shot at the ROH World Championship.
