WWE Championship Match Announced For This Week's SmackDown Live

WWE has announced that AJ Styles will return to the ring on this coming Tuesday night's edition of SmackDown Live to defend the WWE Championship against James Ellsworth.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on last week's broadcast, but was postponed due to the ankle injury suffered by Styles at the recent WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs event, in which Styles competed in a TLC Match against Dean Ambrose. As previously reported, Styles suffered the injury after Ambrose back-dropped Styles out of the ring, and as a result, Styles had been unable to compete since that event.
